dunganick
is it a wood stock with a nasty finish or a synthetic stock which is rubbish?
the last engineer
probably the urathane finish from factory, you can take it off with stripper and wool, then oil it for protection, it takes a while but looks good when done,,,,,,, so im told Martin
kiddy1
emm i think its synthetic... yet the forend is proper wood. Is the only solution a new stock?
the last engineer
emm i think its synthetic... yet the forend is proper wood. Is the only solution a new stock? so its synthetic, it wont turn into wood by itself, exactly what are you looking for, what do you want to do, maybe thats the question you need to ask. you can buy blanks from browning, you can buy finished ready to fit from browning, check on the website for the make and model you want, but remember it wont be cheap, from memory a stock can run you anywhere from $500 up pending quality and style. That aint goin to get u to far Sod all you can do if you dont like the synthetic stock bit pointless buying a new wooden stock if its going to cost you 80% of the value of your gun.Thats if this aint a cock and bull story i have never heard of a gun with a real wood forend and a synthetic stock bit odd really

dunganick
im wondering if its a cynergy with the wood finish on it, although i think these are more than £
bobby t
to see if its wood unscrew the back plate of the stock and look for end grain, the inside will tell you if its wood or not. my guess would be the rubbishb finish they apply although it is tough in their defence. Griff36
I have a browning 325 it has a wooden stock with a plasticy coating over the wood, as previously posted you will need to remove the plastic finish with paint stripper/wire wool and apply oil.
