Psf 2 star proof Mark

Recommended Posts

Have a beretta 20bore 687 built 1987. It was built prior to cip and fleur Mark. It has a 70mm chamber with psf 2 star proof mark. I attach more info. Question is would it be ok for high performance steel load, proof Mark states 17637psi, which equates to 1205 bar. Looking to reload a 24g steel load no3 /no4, with alliant steel (first venture into steel reloading, usually fibre lead)

Many thanks

the hp proof markings probably wernt around when your gun was made.

high performnce steel is 1050bar pt max

i`m sure with a decent powder and data you can have a cartridge similar in performance but less pressure.

please update us with your progression.

you might want to google lilgun and 20gauge steel, im not sure if i read about it.
