Yellow belly
Have a beretta 20bore 687 built 1987. It was built prior to cip and fleur Mark. It has a 70mm chamber with psf 2 star proof mark. I attach more info. Question is would it be ok for high performance steel load, proof Mark states 17637psi, which equates to 1205 bar. Looking to reload a 24g steel load no3 /no4, with alliant steel (first venture into steel reloading, usually fibre lead) Many thanks

Yellow belly
Thanks cookoff, as long as I keep to pressure loads of no more than 10,000 psi, standard steel max, I should be ok? Fixed choke 1/4 &1/2.
bruno22rf
Unfortunately this model only shoots Jelly Beans - unusual, I know, but that's the honest truth of the matter. If I send you £50, you could post the gun to me, no questions, and I will make sure she gets looked after.
Yellow belly
Cheers bruno, but i wouldn't want her to learn any bad habits :-).

Guest cookoff013
the hp proof markings probably wernt around when your gun was made. high performnce steel is 1050bar pt max i`m sure with a decent powder and data you can have a cartridge similar in performance but less pressure. please update us with your progression. you might want to google lilgun and 20gauge steel, im not sure if i read about it.
