We are due to move soon possibly our last move, and were going to sign it over to our only daughter, might have to rethink it. Its a very personal issue and I can see why people would want to leave their home etc to family. Rather than some idiot at the council wasting it... Take advice and make sure what you do is legal and actually works... And take advice from someone who knows what they are actually doing. Ive had idiots phoning up and shouting at me after speaking to their half brained “financial advisors” about certain legislation that doesn’t even exist any more, saying how we can’t sell their parents home as we have a duty to protect it if they come into care. They weren’t happy when I told them that legislation means we have to ensure the house is locked up and secure, and doesn’t have anything to do with the home being sold to fund their care fees.
