sandspider
Hi folks Considering one of the above, as my car aircon smells a bit grim when switching from air con to just blowers. (Not been used much recently, so sitting in the damp and rain a bit). Do the aerosols actually do any good, or are they just a waste of time and money? Thanks. Rewulf
Used a Wurth one a while back , did the job. Shut the doors , leave for half an hour on recirc, definite improvement on a doggy smelling car.
walshie
I run my A/C on full cold for 5 minutes then max heat for 5 minutes. Damp in the A/C system causes the smell.
sandspider
Thanks all I have tried running it for a while on max heat, didn't seem to help much. Will try it again with cold first, then hot, then try a cleaner if that doesn't work!
Dougy
Change the filter 1st for about £10-15 may as well. We use a product called "B" Sanitized Fogger spring mint, very good, it costs around £10. Its a Alcohol based product so kills the dreaded Covid 19 too also mould spores and bacteria that would cause the fusty smell. http://www.environmentalbiotech.co.uk/b_sanitized.htm
sandspider
Thanks Dougy, and for the pm. Filter was changed a year or so ago iirc, so should still be good I hope.
