highdowns hunter
No Pigeons just doves and crows but not in shootable quantities I was amazed how high the crows fly over here probably 3 times the height that they would normally fly in the uk
lazza
On Saturday,I was speaking with one of the wildfowlers who pick up on the estate. As I've said this wildfowling is something I'm learning about. This blokes been doing it for years. For the geese on The Wash, he uses an 8 bore, with home loads. He was telling me a story, which was witnessed by some of the lads on Saturday, of him taking out a crow, that was flying at the height of an electric pylon..........& from some of the 80 yard shots that him & the gamekeeper was pulling off on Saturday, with a 12 bore...........I can quite believe it!.............So there you go.........those crows could be yours!......... ...........By the way, I tried a couple of those "miracle" shots on Saturday, thinking they were using standard cartridges, & failed miserably!...
