MARK 1
:( Ever had trouble with gamedealers, weve had 800+ since last year now ca't seem to get any dealer to take them. We were offered as little @10p per woodie,i would rather keep em in the freezer than sell them for that, any of you guys got any contacs who would collect @ a reasanable price. Need to get freezers empty asap, awaiting drillings regards MARK
number 1
THATS WHAT WE USALLY GET FOR THEM
Cranfield
We are currently getting 10p per bird around here. The Dealer said, that there are a lot of pigeons about at the moment. That and the general poor condition of the birds, has pushed the price down. Have you ever eaten a pigeon that was full of ivy berries ? Doesn,t it make the flesh taste bitter, or was I imagining it ? :(
ernyha
:( We have been getting 10p for frozen,15p for fresh for the past 2 years and have to travel 35miles to deliver them. :(
Buzzer
Iwas getting 30p during the game season, but as the season ended and more pigeon shooters started the price dropped lower and now fetching only10p, wich is about the norm for this time of year( for me any way) at least we get something for them, cant justify trowing them away. all the best Buzzer
MARK 1
Thanks for that no.1 don't know were your from <not bein ignorant or nothing>,but weve had @ much @ 25p per bird Cheers.....

Catamong
Mark, Rick Bestwick (Game Dealers) in Chesterfield are paying only 10p per bird frozen, but will collect for quantities over 250, see their website for contact details. Most dealers in my area (Herts) won't take them at any price as they say that there is no market for them. My advice is get what you can now, as they won't keep indefinately. It is a bit of a choker when you consider that dealers were paying 45p a bird, back in the mid 70's...!!!, but apparently the bottom dropped out of the market when the EC brought in new regulations governing export of birds to other EC Countries. :( :( :(
