digger
God Im macho, just popped into the garden for a smoke and found my route back indoors blocked by the biggest house spider in England. Never one to back down from a confrontation I got my mobile out, rang the house phone and got my 7 year old daughter to come out and move it. She picked it up and put it in the flower bed so now smoking is restricted to the front of the house

Ferret Master
If your daughter reads this she will put one out the front as well and you will be forced to give up. FM
me and my lad
on a serious note you should be wary of house spiders, they can give you a nasty tickle if they run across your foot !!
digger
This monster could crush pint glasses. Its not that I am scared of them, just some in built defence mechanism that makes me scream like a girl and point. FM, you could be on to something there. Baldrick
We've got a farm cat that relishes each opportunity it gets to swat and then eat each monster-sized spider.
WeihrauchPower
Don't come to Australia for a holiday then! I could go and collect a few large Huntsmen from the shed in the backyard! About 5 inches across!

I hate the bloody things, the only good spider is a dead spider, but my wife insists on "putting them out" stuff that kill them all..... J@mes
we have had a few monsters in the house this week, including one with a broken back leg (I misjudged the pint glass placement) who has been in twice! hes under the glass still (2 days later) as punishment for coming back in the house. having looked at him when I scooped him up with a piece of card, he has massive fangs and I think he could leave a serious mark if he bit! bobt
I like spiders, mainly because I hate flies.
Billy1
Horrible things - I had to move some polythene from the garden which had sat there since April [ Garden re-build ] as approaching cobwebs were everywhere . Moved the poly this thing dropped out the size of a dustbin lid !! , i dropped and stepped away .Lucky for me my 10 year old son was at home and carried the roll to the pick-up .Good lad !!!
