Well had a great couple of days at probably one of the best places to really let the bike go. It was surprisingly quite which made for a better circuit for us and the weather was also ok. Ferry was on time and a good crossing both ways. Got home about 7 tonight

And of course that great German Beer was sampled, all in all a great trip.

Got a few photos here that my mate took when i was on the track, but not the best as taken with his PDA.

Cheers. :welcomeani:

Yep i have been to the Isle, a lot in fact. Me personally i prefer the ring especially when it is quite. I think that it is awesome.

But saying that the isle is certainly not to be sniffed at.

And yep it is my MV F4 1000.

Cheers

The question is what sort of times did you managed for the full circuit?

Don't have a bike any more , used to ride a ZX9-R great fun,

Cheers Jon

Best time by me was a shade under 8m.30s and that was on my 5th lap and on the second lap i did after having new tyres put on. Unfortunatly because it is classed as a public toll road the bike has to be road legal so had to have tyres fitted that would be good for me to ride home as well. You do get a lot there though who dont care and put on race tyres, which does alter lap times by a good few seconds.

But i was very happy with the times i got and a couple of times on the really fast straight section that comes slighty down hill managed to touch 167mph before i was running out of track, whoops i mean road.

Cheers

Good pics and post. I thought I was a hoon on a bike but you make me look tame ! And you really need to swap your bike for my 1973 SLK 450 convertable. Well, you dont but it would make my day.

Glad you had a good one

Cheers,

nice car, but two wheels for me. Four wheels only when i have to

Myself and 9 others went earlier this year Chippy and had a brilliant time - so much so that I've preliminary booked the hotels for next year for 13 of us.

Which hotel did you stay at, we were in the Blau Ecke in Adenau, a great place with really friendly staff.

We're doing a 2 location stay next year with the 1st night being at a hotel near Luxemburg and then in Adenau on the 2nd. This gives us the chance to ride up round the Moselle - a top ride with massive sweeping bends that you can see right through :)

Nice bike btw , they've always looked a bit small to me though, would a 6'2" medium sized bloke fit on ok?

(Bloody good lap time as well  )

Hi

i stayed at the Hotel Zur Burg in Nurburg. Nice Hotel cost me 60euro per night, but i cant moan as i did nt ring them till Sunday pm and managed to get a room for Monday. It also had a great beer garden and nice grub.

As for bike fit i am about 5' 11'' and i dont think they are small. My mate rides it and he must be 6'2'' and he finds it ok. I ride his duke 999 and i don't think there is any difference. I think the look is just deceiving .

You will defiantly have a pucker time with 13 of you, there was only 8 of us this time but last year when we went there was 15 and we went for a week, we had a couple of days where the bikes were just parked so we could take in a bit of the local culture, namely Weissbier which i think is one of the best beers going.

Cheers. :)

Had a mate who went there, and was beat by the woman who drives an M5 around......he said could keep up down the straights...but she didn't let off at all for the corners...says her husband's a touring car driver....

Did it last year when we went. They are V10 M5's and we went round with Sabine Schmitz. Thereare 2 Ring Taxis but they reckon that Sabine is the fastest and i would certainly agree with that she is bloody incredible. It is a hell of a rush to go round the full circuit with her and when we did it it only cost us about 170 euros but that was for 3 of us so bloody good value.

Cheers :stupid:
