scout
Hi All, I have a CZ 452 rf, that has been as accurate as for the past 10 years plus, its started to be a little less accurate, of course it could be user error, but enough be to check it out. Its been a real workhorse, with only the occasional clean and oil. After giving it a good clean, I thought I'd check to see if the barrel was fully floated, never bothered to check before, hence my question... should it be floated as it definitely makes contact with the wooden stock on one side, near the fore end???? Thanks in advance. Cheers Damean
London Best
My old BRNO is certainly not floated. The only time it ever went off zero the stock was loose. Have a look at your’s.
Ultrastu
Could the damp cold weather have made the wooden stock expand ever so slightly and is now touching the barrel . I'd have thought only touching one side would be bad news for accuracy .bit of sand paper might be in order .
Stonepark
Give the whole action, bore and internal of moderator a good scrub and remove any lead, dirt or carbon deposits. Check all screws are tight and mod is tight as well, worth trying some sandpaper to float the barrel, mine is floated in my stock but only by 1-2mm. scout
Thanks all, a good clean is in order. Will give it a go and then sand down if required. Cheers for the replies.
Wb123
Mine floats enough to run a banknote between the stock and barrel but it’s definitely not a huge gap.
