NoBodyImportant
I recently bought a matching set of single sixes. So I spent the night getting started on a double holster rig.

saddler
The book on holsters by Al Stohlman is a good read/reference. There are some good holster patterns you can buy as a pack too - I have the Western belts patterns pack from the same guy. Usually sold in the two catalogs below If you haven't already, check out the Weaver Leather and Pearce Tandy catalogs. Great selection of tools and hides, etc There are some good reference books on really classic holsters, the one I used to use a lot was Packing Iron. Real inspirational stuff in there...though my taste in gun leather runs cold with the 1920's/30's Hollywood rigs - much prefer the real deal rigs and accessories that would stand up to actual usage...
