Excuse my ignorance of it but i am a mere englishman and i cant make head nor tail of it. Gaelic football is a fairly fast paced game with lots of end to end action exciting enough to watch Hurling is another sport the english might not quite understand but involves some serious skill scoring a point(ball hit over the cross bar)from a savage distance out takes serious judgement and all players in both gaelic and hurling are unpaid which is the amazing thing on sunday the cork and kerry lads played in front of 82,000 people in croke park on monday most of them are back working in there day jobs, they are proper sportsmen playing the game for nothing but pride in there county

Ballymac
Remember the black stuff in Cork is Beamish or Murphy's you have to ask for Guinness by name also if you are near near Middleton there is a small distillery that you might want to visit
Blackbart
Just got back from cork and the verdict is........ Fantastic place, nice people, nice scenery, very nice beer. One thing i did notice though is people(a large minority)in cork can not drive!Lane dodging, turning across three lanes of traffic from the left hand lane when they are going right, braking for no reason, crashes.I seen it all while i was there. One person however who could DRIVE while i was there was SEBASTIEN LOEB.I went to 2 stages of the cork "20" international rally found a nice hairpin bend at the bottom of a hill. This guy made some of them look like they were selling ice cream on the way.He came round the corner at the top sideways, airborn over the crest, deliberatly upset the car leading in to the hairpin then hammered it at the apex of the bend and roared into the distance. My 5 year old had everybody peeing themselves laughing by saying "he was in a hurry,he must be late". Done the ring of kerry, rode barbie up a mountain, kissed the blarney.Which does sound like a trailer to a porn film but (unfortunatly)it isnt, the ring of kerry is a coastal route through fantastic scenery, barbie was the name of the horse that i rode up a mountain pass, and im sure most poeple will have heard of the blarney stone. Done lots of other things but they were mostly tainted with guiness or murphys and we cant speak of them on a public forum. Overall if you havent been........GO And if you have been........GO BACK
