30-6
I only catch moles as a hobby / exercise / to help my friend out and have a play on his quad. I am not a professional but do OK. Everything I've read or watched on trapping says to never set traps in the mole hills themselves. Yet I've just watched a professional on you tube, and he does just that, and he catches. Anybody do this ?
ditchman
never caught a mole in a mole hill.......always in the deep runs....(about 8" down/deep) suppose it would be possible if the mole was still making it...and it would be dependant on the weather..if it was very wet the mole would be in the upper galleries... Walker570
Much better fun to sit quietly where there is obvious work being done and you will see movement of soil and if quick a nose appear. Friend of mine has shot dozens with a shotgun .

Friend of mine has shot dozens with a shotgun . A gamekeeper and gardener always waited to the third push ! Oh stick some glasses over you eyes - had a few lead ricochet over the years from pushed up stones ! Agriv8
