OGGIE
Stir fried chicken liver in black bean sauce with peppers, mushrooms and onions. Nectar. A local Indian restaurant does a liver tikka starter that is very good.

sky gipsy
A favourite of mine is an old classic Keith Floyd recipe for liver stroganoff. Fry thinly sliced liver and onion rings, keeping the liver pink. Then add a tablespoon of flour and cook off. Next add an ounce of butter along with a tablespoon of tomato puree (or mustard if preferred) some paprika and enough soured cream to give the sauce the thickness of your choice. Serve with rice and chopped parsley on top. Delish!

DUNKS
When we visit our daughter in Canada we call in at an Irving big stop for truckers on our four-hour drive from the airport to her home. Liver and onions seems to be the favourite meal for these heavy truckers going across Canada 3,000 miles in three days! They need a top up of fuel, a shower and a meal in short order. I always have the same liver and onions with mash but a childs portion and it's enough! Never asked what liver it was! but it was lovely.
