Advert blocker

Since I had to put my computer back to factory settings, I've been bombarded with adverts, especially on here. I installed Adblocker, only to be pestered to purchase their program. Before I reset the computer, I didn't have any of these issues, and can't remember what program I had installed.

I removed Adblocker and installed Uguard, which is useless! Any idea's as to what else I can try?

uBlock is probably the best free one. I have used it without issues for years.

If you are using Firefox you can download the free plugin “AdBlocker Ultimate” been using it for years, it does what it says on the tin.

I'm using Chrome, and have installed uBlock, which seems to be working.

I'm using AdblockPlus, no problems at all.
