As Scully pointed out, contacting MPs is extremely important - there’s nothing more convincing than voting pressure! In their PR campaigns MPs are very caring about X, Y and Z, but what they mostly care deeply about is staying employed in a highly paid job with many perks and privileges.

Correct...right up to the point we vote them in then completely ignore there voters for the next 3 years until we have to dance the dance again. We as a group of farmer all have, as individuals and as a group sent Emails to our Local MP, who coincidentally is or was a minster for agriculture, about the state of farming and food security and not one of us as far as i know have had a reply. I rest my case your Honour.

That is very sad indeed. He ought to be reported to the standards committee. I have to say I do get replies from my MP, that is to say the man himself, not his paper shufflers.

Im not a lover of politicians, i always say for the definition of politician look up liar.

However, I've spoken to my MP in person and she has given me her card with email address and telephone number and asked that i forward to her any relevant evidence.

Its a start. At least she spoke to me.

As Fellside suggests, report them, they are duty bound to reply, even if it’s just a stock reply; I can’t ever recall a minister not replying to anything I’ve sent, and there’s been a lot over the years.
