Lead Shot for reloading

Recommended Posts

If it's all the same size, yes, it has a value. Very much. There are many that reload and often for the less usual calibres where cost of cartridges is at a premium such as .410 or 28 bore. Easiest way to cost is put it on the bathroom scales and weight it then if you can weigh the empty bucket and work out the weight of lead. But as a propostion the weight of the bucket won't be much. Then work out a cost using the internet to get a price for scrap lead. I am in Leicester and might be interested.

Shot size is a good useful size and it's easiest probably to simply how many of the "ends" you have and that way a buyer will know what they are getting in terms of how many cartridges they might be able to load. I'd reckon you've maybe one hundred and ten each with 1 1/8 ounces of shot.
