wildfowler.250
I thought I’d pick some opinions on here but I imagine it’s probably too expensive / too much hassle to be practical. I’ve seen a rifle I’m tempted by but it’s in Europe. How easy is it to RFD/import from abroad? I imagine it’s a complete faff and likely worse since brexit but thought it was worth asking? It’s from one gun shop to another but I assume it’s not a case of £25 RFD at each end! Thanks!
wildfowler.250
I’m not too surprised and assuming from the lack of replies it’s as uncommon as I thought 😂 Hoped it might be an RFD to RFD idea but I think you may need to have an import licence. Maybe one to quiz basc. Cheers!

scarecrow243
why not ask your local rfd all new guns are imported unless uk made
bluesj
I would say its probably more agro than is worth unless the rifle is something special, but it would be worth a chat to a gun dealer, someone the deals it specialist firearms not just your local gun shop. Aseekin
Probably not quite as simple as was, though it looks a similar process if the bit about ,'non-commercial 18-22 etc' fits your situation. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/983345/Notice_to_importers_2944_-_firearms_and_ammunition.pdf Biggest huddle will be finding a EU dealer who understands their system and is willing to do the paperwork to export. Always worth chatting with your FLO manager, they've probably had this query before. As ever do your research and at least triple check what you're told. old'un
Just had a brief read of the regs for importing firearms and as you say it looks a bit of a hassle……https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/983345/Notice_to_importers_2944_-_firearms_and_ammunition.pdf also seen this, might be worth contacting them to see what's involved and cost...https://londonguncompany.co.uk/service/gun-import-export/
wildfowler.250
Cheers guys, appreciate the links as well! It’s a CZ model that wasn’t run in big numbers over here and as usual, they’ve change to new models fairly quickly - nothing going second hand. It’s probably not worth it in truth. I always feel bad asking dealers about RFDs when they’ve got loads of options on shelf gathering dust but I guess that’s just the way of it I suppose. Thanks again!
