Bigbob Posted February 20, 2023 Report Share Posted February 20, 2023 I always have a few mouse traps in the shed and garage they can go for months without a catch , But over the last two days i've caught 5 but they have been all males , no sure if i should be happy i have caught them or wonder if there's the same amount of females running about ?. 30-6 Posted February 20, 2023 Report Share Posted February 20, 2023 I have commented on this with rats. Went through a spell where all catches were males. I think somebody suggested males might be taking food to females, like foxes do. But I thought male rodents don't take part in rearing offspring. Shambam1962 Posted February 20, 2023 Report Share Posted February 20, 2023 My mate was overrun with mice in his garden shed last year and set nipper style mouse traps. The most he caught in a day was 9 and continued catching mice over 2 week period before they eased off.
