Frank
Arrived at out chosen spot at 7:30 am. Just as it was getting light. My freind and his Krico .308, with T 8 mod, was ready for action. As we stood listening, we could hear the few fallow bucks in the distance, rutting away, that sound of grunting, allways reminds me of a bunch of builders, in the back of a taxi after several pints of larger. Anyway, we walked slowly in a feild, stood at the edge and spotted a small herd of does and pricketts, running around, gettinng chased by the buck. A fine buck he was too. As i was looking threw trhe bins, i spoted a prickett, that was limping and noticed, he only had 3 legs? We decided to take him out and got into postion, only for me to crack a stick, which made them all look up and run towards us . My freind, selected the chosen prickett and shot him in the brain, he went straight down, at 20 odd yds. Some pressure that shot was on the head , his eyes poped out.!! Very humane. I had to leave then, as the wife has flu , so i left my mate to it and took the deer as he said i could have it. Pic below. Frank.

Frank
Good stuff frank I wonder what happened its leg it seems to be a clean break between the two joints? Thanks Mark. Its a mystery alright about the leg. It could be that it got cought on a fence? Will never know, but it was healed well. When i skined him this afternoon, the leg had hardly any muscle on, due to it not being used. Frank.

JohnGalway
Wheelbarrow with a puncture, now that's unlucky! When I saw the deers leg, first thing that came to mind was a dodgy snare. Still, as far as we know it could've happened anyway from getting caught in a fence to being clipped by a car.

lazza
We decided to take him out and got into postion, only for me to crack a stick, which made them all look up and run towards us  . I had to leave then, as the wife has flu , so i left my mate to it and took the deer as he said i could have it. Frank. So if I'm reading this right............ It's your mate who's shooting......... You crack a stick and scare the deer........... He then shoots it.............. And you get to keep the carcass.............. I like your style Frank Well done
