TIGHTCHOKE
Just watching BBC Breakfast on BBC1. One of the lead stories and certainly the most discussed was about the end of a musical (The Bodyguard) being disrupted by the audience singing along with the tunes. Well GORDON BENNETT! Apparently Manchester Police were called to attend, what is the world coming to? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-65220527
Centrepin
Two things surprise me. 1. You watch BBC TV. Actually that's quite shocking considering its bias and lies. 2. The Police are, contactable or attended. Maybe they offered free food or some other bribe to fetch them to respond. Other than that everything is so messed up in this country now with someone being offended by someone being offended by someone that I've stopped caring. Actually thinking about it, I really need a huge amount of financial compensation because I find it offensive that you watched the BBC.🤣 How long before somebody actually sues for that? Well I do see your point, it was on in the background while I ate breakfast and drank copious amounts of coffee. All the while going through emails, pay rise details., pension contributions and all the usual stuff you do while waiting for the mist to clear and the temperature to rise to allow me to get out and do some gardening. 2. I do wonder what Manchester Police's priorities are on a Good Friday evening?

Getting through the shift without doing any work. 2. Texting/WhatsApping their mates with the latest gossip. 3. Planning how to get into the pub, close enough to the bar to get a free drink without actually paying for a round in return. 4. Using someone else's Internet login to watch porn or plan the next holiday. 5. Wondering if they can get their civvie jacket on and clock out bang on time with being seen by a supervising officer. Westley
I do believe it was a little more than just someone 'singing along' with the performance. A specific group of Females continued to cause disruption to the show. This was objected to by other members of the audience. As the offending group continued to disrupt, they were required to leave the premises. They refused to leave, so the Police were called to eject them and prevent a B of P. They then oversaw the theatre security, ejecting those responsible for the disruption. Or, that was my understanding of the incident.
