wymberley
Can't recall exactly how I did it now - whether I filled in the forms online or whether I down-loaded them and sent them off - but although comprehensive it was straight-forward enough. I told it as it was and had no problem with the interview/physical.
welsh1
I called my council about 6 months ago as i have a war pension for injuries but the criteria on line doesn't have war pension unless you have lost a limb, i listed my injuries and other bits to her over the phone she asked me to send in a passport photo by email, 5 days later a blue badge popped through the door. deershooter
I have to reapply every 3 years even though I’m a bilateral amputee whose legs won’t grow back !
wymberley
1 minute ago, deershooter said: I have to reapply every 3 years even though I’m a bilateral amputee whose legs won’t grow back ! I had already decided to post before I read the above. With just 3 replies it already looks as though we aren't too bad off and perhaps we shouldn't complain too much about the SGC and FAC licensing discrepancies between county constabularies as i looks as though for what is supposed to be a nationwide documentation which is internationally recognised, the Blue Badge issuing authorities have got the said constabularies beat hands down with regard to a consistent approach. Bigbob
I took a tumble years ago and landed on my left knee after a year of getting it drained and cortisone injections i got ill health from my work i used to do 14 miles a shift but was struggling to do anything like that . I was told as i had no cartridge in my left knee i was looking at a new knee by the time i was 60 as that passed i was told there's some cartridge and it would be 70 till i got a new knee ( i didn't know cartridge could regrow ? lol ) I get by using a stick but last time i was at the doctors i asked should i be getting a blue badge ?.She said because you walked in here you don't need one , But she was happy to drain it and give me two cortisone injections a year till i got a new knee . I am quite happy as i get by but i cant bend the knee to pick up stuff on the floor and wont go down on my knees unless my sons there to lift me up by the oysters ive had it drained 10 times and 12 cortisone injections i think the specialist says i can apply without the doctors agreement but said it was the doctors call as she was finished with me ? My mate is in the same bother but the same doctor gave him a letter for a blue badge But he was told there a 18 month wait on the operation and he asked her how he was going to continue working for 18 months she shrugged her shoulders LOL .but he has been dieting for the operation and is 18 stone he was told he had no chance till he was under 16 stones , i am nearly 6'6" the last time i was 16 stone i think i was at school LOL my mates taller than me and has arms like my legs so i cant see being 16 stone healthy for him I am happily getting by just now as i can do most things my self and don't want to go near a doctors or hospital while there's still covid out there
shaun4860
I complete these forms as part of my job, Never needed a Doc to sign anything but you do need medical evidence. If you do have mobility issues and it’s on your medical history then ask at reception for a copy of your Patient Summary sheet, it will list active and non active medical conditions and medication. Its free and they have to give you one on request.
