30-6
I take it back to zero mounts are super duper expensive, and supposed to do what it says on the tin. Would picatinny rail set up be no good. If it's good enough for Rips260 and the like ? , he seems to do ok. I swap an Alpex between .223 and sub 12 air, but I don't shoot much past 100 yds. Rim Fire
The rifle in question has a picatinny rail fitted but would like a dedicated set of scope mounts for the job
30-6
I use a picatinny on the .223 and the mount on the Alpex doesn't come off, Hawke quick detach. The AA s200 has a dovetail to picatinny adapter set. I just remember which slots they go back to and seem ok. On the quick detach mounts, you have to remember not to undo the clamps too much as the spring fall out. I think you are asking about the more expensive set up options, forget the brand's names at the moment, but check the gun make as I think some manufacturers do what you are after specific for their guns. wyn
I have a T3X with a picatinny rail. The night vision is fixed to a pulsar QR mount and the day scope in a single piece QR "American Defense" mount. It returns to zero with either one. I used to use leupold 2 piece QR mounts they worked fine and would return to zero on a picatinny rail. I paint the mounts and the position they go on the rail so i don't get it in the wrong place when swapping over.
Lloyd90
I have a piccatiny too on my T3x in 223 and use Leupold QR2 (I think), I remember which slot on the tail they were set to, have taken the Alpex off several times and when placed back on the zero remains consistent. I haven’t tested it mind at silly distances but at 100yards etc it’s fine. For a long range high accuracy rig I wouldn’t be swapping over. Exactly the same rig and in223 I only want to play around with some different powder and heads and thermal not the best I was looking at the QR2 👍
