Pinders wood in Bawtrty( Doncaster), is absolutely teeming with them. It's not unusual to see 40/60 of them as you walk  through the wood. God knows what the true amount is. There are lots of warnings posted about 'live' pest control but I have never seen or heard anything

Once in Shropshire, waiting by a maize crop next to a wood, I watched countless squirrels, like a conveyor belt, each carrying a corn cob. Backwards and forwards for about two hours. As I was waiting for Fallow deer I was somewhat over gunned to do anything about the squirrels.
