Plinkety plink

Got my old "Remington Fieldmaster" pump action out the back of the cabinet, cleaned it up and put a few through it in the sunshine, off the shoulder [no rests] iron sights. Plastic bottle tops at 35yds [as far as my eyes could see them] brought a smile to my face..😁

Wow! Fabulous stuff! I had the auto model,  the ‘Speedmaster’.
I would sneak around the outbuildings, drystone walls and hedgerows on my BIL’s farm, blatting rabbits and crows.
Great great fun! Nice to see these old guns still in use. 👍

Nothing like a relaxing evenings plinking or some friendly competition at the tin cans. Never tried a pump 22lr. I've the semi auto remington 597 in 22lr, it has the same type of safety as your fieldmaster.

Me and a friend used to empty the shot out of a few cartridges and try to shoot the primer from 50 yards. My best was to remove the scope and do it with the iron sight... likely a lucky shot but I'm still claiming it was my expert marksmanship 😎

It was also my expertise that hit the bottle tops, or the poke in the general direction of the blurs that i could just make out against the white background..😉
