countryman
I would like to add a higher Rib to my Miroku for a head up position, any one else tried this and recommend one, I see some are just added by a magnetic strip which looks non damaging to the gun. Thanks
oldypigeonpopper
hello, contact Robden as he fitted a high rib strip, you could look at some square carbon same width as the rib is another idea people use

Konor
I had trouble sourcing an add on rib to put on to my Classic Doubles shotgun. I had fitted a higher combed stock in the hope of using the gun for DTL. The gun then shot 80/20 but the sight picture was just showing too much rib. Rather than switch stocks back and give up on the higher stock I managed to buy a secondhand high rib that uses magnets to hold it on the gun. I have not been able to pattern the gun but a test shoot on some rabbit clays seem to show that the point of impact had been lowered and wasn’t now so high. initial impressions are good and I like the more upright head stance.Crossing shots were all shot comfortably and I liked what appeared to be increased peripheral vision. I seemed to shoot better with it with one exception, any direct incoming birds that I would say would. be a given were missed clean repeatedly. I moved the gun from behind the bird but couldn’t stop myself from firing as the bead hit the rear of the bird rather than swinging through. On the occasions I made a more deliberate push through the problem was solved but I did seem to have a block to doing that. I managed to buy the rib from a seller on guntrader who agreed to sell it separately from the gun he was selling. I paid just over £100. I don’t know where you could source a new one but I think I bumped into a site selling shorter new ones for around the £250 mark
Mulligan
I have one of these ribs and yes they contain very powerful magnets but they still move under Recoil or even in & out of slip. I found it to be much more secure with double sided tape. It looks exactly the same as the one pictured

The seller supplied some tape however and I’ll anchor it before my next trip out. Could you tell me who made the rib ? TIA

TIA Think it was a guy called David Connor who made them, not sure if he still does ? Was discussing it with the bloke who was replacing our windows and he gave me some double sided tape that was the right width and thicker than ordinary tape, fixed along full length it didn't move any more
