Scully
Anyone know what gun this will fit? TIA.
enfieldspares
Going on it being labelled as "INV PLUS", SCULLY, I am guessing a Browning? As "Invector" is likely a protected marque name? But I hope this helps you? https://trulockchokes.com/choke_identification_tool.html Edited February 14 by enfieldspares

Zoli 12 guage
i may be wrong but don't/haven't Winchester use/d invector chokes?
Scully
Thanks all. Mate found it in his ‘spares’ box and I knew someone on here would know. Thats a good find @enfieldspares! 👍 52 minutes ago, Zoli 12 guage said: i may be wrong but don't/haven't Winchester use/d invector chokes? Tried it, but it doesn’t fit mine. The latest ones possibly, but it doesn’t fit my 101’s. They are Invector x2.
Fellside
Browning ‘back bored’ barrels. Used from half way through the B525 production to current new ones. Can’t remember the date of change exactly - but circa 2012. It will not fit earlier ‘standard invector’ barrels, they are very different. The Maxus is the only Browning I can recall him ever owning apart from his current game gun, but that’s a 20. Thats a good find @enfieldspares! 👍 Tried it, but it doesn’t fit mine. The latest ones possibly, but it doesn’t fit my 101’s. They are Invector x2. The Winchester was originally fitted with Winchokes and were one of the first to use 'multi chokes'. The Winchoke was an extended choke which came with a rather silly 1/2 circle choke key which could damage the choke, if it slipped. I am not sure, but I don't believe that the Winchoke will interchange with Invector chokes. Next came Classic Doubles, who used Invector chokes. My gun's barrels are stamped IN-C. I currently have 2 Briley INVECTOR flush chokes in the gun. It came with 5 chokes, all stamped CD SK, CD MOD etc., however there was a Browning standard Invector choke too. I have tried other Browning/Miroku Inv. chokes and they seem to be interchangeable. Browning then produced the INVECTOR PLUS, which is what Scully has. Hope this helps. Just to confuse the issue even more, there are some guns marked 'Classic game'. They are NOT related to Winchester or Classic Doubles and their chokes are different again 🙄

I have numerous Winchokes knocking about in a drawer as well as in one of my guns. My Classic Double has Invectorx2 chokes, which are also interchangeable with original Winchester Winchokes. 👍

So, Browning must have had Winchester do the first Invector chokes. I am sure the Winchester guns had the multi chokes before Browning. I think Winchester were the first manufacturer to introduce multi chokes ( rather than choke boring ) in their Model 12.

Browning made a lot of marketing noise about this at the time.

I mentioned the 525 as I have used a few of them over the years. However they produced the B425 ‘Wildfowl’ along side them for a while - with the new barrel type. They all got changed to ‘back bore’ Invector Plus at about the same time. Mirokus also. I always liked the look of those Wildfowl models, but never got round to trying one. Got to admit my thing is lighter long barrelled 20’s mostly now with sensible loads. Despite being a heavyweight I struggle with recoil and like using 26g cart through 20 &

There are some nicely balanced 20 bores out there these days.
