red_stag88
Right lads, Anyone here play a musical instument? (except the sphinctoric organ) I have just taken up playing the harmonica (laugh and I'll be forced to stab you :( ) Red
white fox
Recently tried plucking an old banjo, though think I need a newer one as mine don't keep its tune. Or is it me..
Hammergun
The piano. Trouble is it's not portable! I played the piano accordeon once, but some b***ard nicked it and I never got round to getting another one. My grandad used to be an amazing harmonica player. Jazz and blues, and all sorts. Harmonica is great as you can just carry it around in your pocket. It's quite tricky to play proficiently.

Fisherman Mike
I was waiting for you to reply FM :( Seriously Red, The harmonica is a much maligned instrument. My Dad took me to see Larry Adler when I was a kid and I must say he was absolutely brilliant. I also saw Stevie Wonder in concert in the 80's and he also was a seriously good harmonica player. Stick with it. PS. I was lead percussionist in the school and university orchistra but have not banged a drum or cybal for 20 years.! red_stag88
If I only were as good as Larry Adler :(
MadSpringer
Played guitar since my early teens. Started teaching my daughter at Christmas, she's doing well, practices at least an hour a night! If she continues to progress well I've promised her an electric next Christmas. I've also promised the wife and myself some ear defenders :( Red, I've always fancied learning the Gob Iron but just never got around to it. Stick with it mate! If you get chance have a listen to some Sonny Terry a fantastic old blues harmonica player. Here's some info http://www.bluesharp.ca/legends/sonny.html Cheers
