The piano.

Trouble is it's not portable!

I played the piano accordeon once, but some b***ard nicked it and I never got round to getting another one.

My grandad used to be an amazing harmonica player. Jazz and blues, and all sorts. Harmonica is great as you can just carry it around in your pocket. It's quite tricky to play proficiently.

I was waiting for you to reply FM :D

:(

Seriously Red, The harmonica is a much maligned instrument.

My Dad took me to see Larry Adler when I was a kid and I must say he was absolutely brilliant. I also saw Stevie Wonder in concert in the 80's and he also was a seriously good harmonica player.

Stick with it.

PS. I was lead percussionist in the school and university orchistra but have not banged a drum or cybal for 20 years.!

Played guitar since my early teens.

Started teaching my daughter at Christmas, she's doing well, practices at least an hour a night!

If she continues to progress well I've promised her an electric next Christmas.

I've also promised the wife and myself some ear defenders :(

Red,

I've always fancied learning the Gob Iron but just never got around to it. Stick with it mate!

If you get chance have a listen to some Sonny Terry a fantastic old blues harmonica player. Here's some info http://www.bluesharp.ca/legends/sonny.html

Cheers

YP, I still listen to some of that, but have moved on to Monster Magnet, Sound Garden, Kid Rock, RATM, Marilyn Manson etc.etc. Did you ever get to hear any Cocksparrow? They was the dogs dangleys.

Got a royalty cheque recently, £ 127.00 but won't let it change me :(
