Sniper6
Hey Guys Thought id show you my ghillie suit i made from an old DPM jacket, its taken a lot of tieing and stitching an glueing and......work. But its pretty good for concealment, i can get within 10yds of anything before it sees me! Humans included! Flip back hood and face overhang section. Detail of jute tied onto camoflauge net base. Finished (almost) article! What you reckon? Would you see me?

JohnGalway
Lotta work in one of them, well done you What dye did you use to dye the jute? Had problems sourcing dye mentioned in DVD myself. That net looks good too, where'd ya get that as well? Sorry for the questions but my own has been on hold for eternity as I can't get the bits I want to use in it As for how good it is, if you're getting within 10 yards of animals then it can't be half bad, I, for one, can't see a sign ever of ya in those photos

JohnGalway
Lol @ Heinz. I'd only use one for ambushing corvids to be honest so the heat would be a bonus. Was greycrow bashing over the weekend got around 16 greycrows in one spot I think, but the crafty ******* were copping on and I figure myself that some were spotting me in the cammo gear. Had great fun with the .22lr while it lasted though
tikkamark
Firstly sniper Thats one great looking suit but you can only judge how effective it is when worn against a background hard to tell how good it is when lying on the floor If magpies cant seen you sneeking up on them then your onto a winner as imo they are one of the best animals to spot something that aint right, that suit would come in handy when out and about with the hmr Are you planing on making a trousers to suit? berettaman1
I made a betta one that, problem is I put it out in the Garden, went in the house to get a camera, to show everyone on here how good it was, AND I CANT SEE WHERE I HAVE PUT IT! Sniper6
Used some old Cuprinol woodstain for the shredded curtian bits, and the jute was dyed with some brown woodstain. The actual net is one from Ebay stitched on with 20lb/ft fishing line. The bonus about it is the actual shade of the whole thing is quite neutral, so it blends really well when i tie vegetation from the area into it! Takes a lot of work but its fairly toasty when its cold. Had 6 rabbits and 5 crows with it so far, they actually never knew what em!
