Driftwood project ?

Found this small piece of driftwood the other day and thought it looked 'interesting' and a potential project for one of the woodworking geniuses on here ?

It's about 250mm high ,for some sort of scale.

Would anyone like it to create something ?

That lady who salvage bits from the rubbish tip on the television and then make various bit and pieces that normally sell for good money would make something out of it , what ? I don't know but you can bet a pound to a penny that you won't find another one exactly the same .    MM

Well I thought it looked quite an interesting thing, so thought someone here might see 'something' in it, [no, not that white ground mite in the top picture 😆] potential as a lamp base maybe ? Anyway, no bother if not,,,, 🤷‍♂️🤪

Definitely an interesting piece 👍

Take a look on the Lampspares website at their various lamp wiring kits available.

Buy a shade for a few quid from B&M and your ready to go.

If you would like to mount the piece of driftwood on a wooden base, I would gladly turn a base for you F.O.C  and just a few dimensions required.

It’s about time we had a few projects by different PW members 😁👍

Here’s a few ideas to get you started.

Hi fella, I was thinking more about sending it to someone like yourself, because you can see the potential 😀 I personally don't have the time or facilities like you do, but I do have a good eye for things,,,, generally 🤓 I'd gladly send it to you FOC if you want to take it on ?

Come on then, who wants some free firewood delivered?

Hahaha 😆,,,, problem is, it'll only burn for about 5-10 minutes 🔥 😂

Think I'll just throw it back into the river 🙋‍♂️😆😂

Water is traditionally a good hiding place for lots of "stuff".

A few years ago they dredged the Welland in Stamford.

An L2 grenade got the dredging crews attention.

Haha you used to be able to buy these in inert form online as paperweights, etc. I had a look the other day as one for novelty use but you don't seem to be able to get them any more. Their still available in the states but I don't fancy bringing one back in my luggage on my next visit 🤣🤣
