bruno22rf
Now there's a man that knows his sauce - Kikkoman is the king of Soy .Never tried celery in a S&S, I'm a boring bean sprout and water chestnut man, oddly enough this is pretty much what I'm cooking tonight - S&S Chicken (in tempura batter) with stir fried peppers, onions, carrots, water chestnuts and bean sprouts all thrown to a pan of noodles. So far I've let the other half mix the slurry for the sauce and, as she did it by eye, it's virtually bleedin jam 🤬. So much for her being a qualified chef. Also nice and crunchy chopped up in a salad. I was told (not sure if it's true) that celery is one of the few things that the calories/energy used in eating it is more than the calories/energy gained from it. The perfect slimming food! Often have it with carrots.

With the amount of sugar in a S&S meal I doubt that celery is going to make it diet anytime soon!! I dont really like the taste and ,to my mind, it leaves a horrible background taste in Spag Bol.
