No way can I compete with some of the meals displayed on the forum , sheer works of art 😋, I buy various bits and pieces on a Sunday and then during the week I have too use up whatever is going to reach the sell by date first , so tonight I had a bit of a mixture , if I gave marks out of ten it would only be 6 or 7 , the Skate was nice but the rest was only o k , still it filled a hole and my housemate with four legs is still licking his lips

Looks a good way to clear stuff up rather than waste it.  :good:

Food is far to expensive to waste Dave and I try not to waste a thing , although the fish is cheaper to fry it yourself I only do the odd bit now and again , no way is it ever on par with the fish shops , not only that , it take a day or so to get the smell out of my kitchen , so the next bit I have is when I have a trip up the coast now the visitors have gone home . :good:

I got home late from Leicester last night.

Chip shop in the village was open so a portion of lovely chips covered in salt and vinegar was £2:90.

Got in and put a slice of pizza in the air fryer and 4 minutes later I had a cracking quick and cheap meal.

I paid £2.70 the other week for a portion of chips and I thought that was dear , these must had been out of the pan for a while as time I got home they were only warm , they are no doubt the same as me , they can't afford to waste anything , but having to pay £2.70 for a portion of chips you would expect them to be hot .
