Bit confused here, why would he need a new cloud account when he is saving his photos on the SD card?

If you are confused old'un then think where it put my very limited knowledge , I didn't know I even had a cloud or a storing capacity ?  I found out how to delete the items one at a time and after many , many clicks I did manage to restore my holding limit to 89% , this took most of the night and I will now cut it down to a few each night while the soaps are on , one way to get through the dark nights

what confused me was in your original post you said the photos were on your card???

Sorry if I confused you old'un ,I normally confuse myself , the photos I take from my camera are then on the sim card , the card was then put into the computer and that was where the problem started as I couldn't import the new ones I had just taken as the screen that came up was totally different from what I was used to , it did say my storage was nearly full but at the time it wasn't full , this was when I took it in the shop for someone to have a look at the problem I had , he worked it out fairly easy and told me to click the right hand square , then scroll down to paste and click that and it should be sorted , so that was all it was on my mind , getting home I tried that with no joy , that was when I reached out to the members for help , in the meantime when I tried yesterday it then said my storage was 100% full , I then looked it up to tell me how to get back to below 100% , it said delete what you don't need or pay for extra storage , as I didn't want over 90% I had on all the different files I started to delete the files I didn't no longer want but it was at the slow pace of one at a time and like I said I had a few thousand , so that is now where I am up to , I did manage to import the new photos last night that originally  had a little Red cross on when my storage was full but it is a slow process and I am sure there is a easier way than how I am doing it , but at least I am doing it even if it taken a fair bit of time , but time to me isn't a problem .    MM

you cannot save photos to the SIM card, you can only save them to the SD card (if you have one) the phones in built memory or cloud storage. Now earlier you said you removed a card from the phone and plugged it into your PC to get to your photos, so where are your photos stored?

I thought he mentioned he was saving them to the cloud, AKA google drive, one drive or any other online drive space going for free?

No, see his first post.

"Hi ... Normally when I want to post a photo , I take the photo , put the memory card into the computer , after a few seconds the Black screen come on and the previous photos numbers spin round and then my new ones come onto the screen , I can then click in the small box the ones I want to keep and then click the import tab , these then go on my file and the rest is easy .

Now when I put my memory card in with the new photos it just show the new photos in my file and I cannot import any of them , a totally different set up to how it was , WHY should this be ?  THANKS.

Yep, If you are correct it all makes sense now, the only time he mentions camera is in his second post “the photos I take from my camera are then on the sim card” the bit that confused me was “sim card” :)

T C came to the rescue yet once again , I have never took a photo on my phone in my life and I cannot see where I said I did take my photos on the phone ,all my photos were and still are taken on my ancient camera and yes my wife did buy the phone from TESCO's because that was where she worked and she got a 10% lifetime discount , it was her phone and was virtually brand new , when she passed away I got the chap at Tesco to change the number to mine as my ole Nokia was nearly as ole as me.

Shall we start all over again

Now, we have a CAMERA with a CARD that is removed and slotted in to a COMPUTER.

My first question is your storage on the COMPUTER full?

Last night it was 100% full as the photos I took all had a small Red cross in the corner , this was when I looked it up about more storage space , I could have bought some for about £2 a month or delete the ones I don't want , I thought somewhere it said I had 4,000 + but I noticed today it said 7000 + , I have been deleting them and I was back down to about 85% and the photos I took last night are now on my file , I think the confusion was me calling the card that go into my camera a sim card where should it been called a memory card ? , I think I will need a memory card before long slotted into my memory bank , although the storage space is full at the moment

I never knew there was a storage in the first place , I have bought new memory cards over the years and then just carried on as before the previous one was full , this was after a few thousand photos , it wasn't till they said your storage capacity is nearly full I started to look into it , and then after the next set of photos it stated my storage was now 100% full , so I looked at the options , I could have bought some more storage at £1.99 a month or make some space by deleting some of the ole ones that are no longer required , as some had been on for a number of years I found out how to delete them but only one at a time , I have now cleared four files and made up a fair bit of space , now I know whats what I will delete them as soon as the item is sold or I no longer need them.

So I can import the new photos in a round about way and know that you cannot store ole photos for ever , I recon the next thing that might need replacing is the camera , this was bought new off Ebay many years ago , this one have outlived three computers and will no doubt outlive me .:good:
