The advert clearly states PARD DS35-70 GEN2 Night Vision Scope with Rangefinder ????

UPDATE: Just had it confirmed by Optics World that it does actually have a LRF.:good:

Fair enough - but the picture clearly shows the non lrf version. There are no 'Startrek engines' above the objective lens.

I totally agree with you. When I spoke to someone from Optics World, I enquired about the scope being a LRF or non LFR and he assured me it was a LRF model. Also, according to him, PARD don' call the scopes Gen 2, and when I asked why Optics World did this, he couldn't explain why. I did say that IF I was to purchase one and it did NOT have a LRF then it would be returned for a full refund. My mate is the one who will possibly buy one and I am 'thinking' of it.

For what they are they are ok, depends what you expect from it really.

If you are after rabbits and rats it will deliver, i bought the LRF version with the idea to use it for foxing on a 22.250 but i was not happy with the image quality much beyond 150yds. But then i am spoilt with a nice tube on an Archer, you cant compare the 2 for image quality. It now sits on a 22lr used for squirrels which is for me its limits.

I'm afraid your man at Optics World needs a little product training!.

Gen1: Magnification in two steps: 5.6-11.2

Gen2: Magnification range the same but in much smaller steps. (Gen2 sticker also applied to box)

Plus a few other features I can't recall at this time of night.

Buy one and see if it comes with IR and LRF.

To be honest, the guy I spoke to didn't fill me with confidence. He didn't answer the phone professionally, just a loud 'hello', and when I spoke to him, he was shouting across the room repeating my questions. I'm now not going to buy one and it's up to my mate if he wants one. I use a Vulpine Mk3 with Solaris SRX on my rifles. I just fancied a 'dedicated' NV scope to maybe fit either on my .22LR or .22 Hornet.

Steve just bye a sightmark wraith for about 100 quid it will do all you want and it hasn't got all the bells and whistles

I agree mate. As mentioned, I have a Vulpine Mk3 'add on' which is excellent and can be used on most of my rifle scopes. It's my mate who is looking for something to use on his air rifle and his .22LR. I came across the advert as the company are sponsoring a Facebook webpage and are offering 10% discount.
