Nicky
Just put out a couple of nets for the first time yesterday and was gob smacked to find a load of huge signals. Does anyone know if a license is needed to do this and where to get one from??

lurcherboy
In last years fishing season they were making noise to have the signal included on a course licence. I haven't bothered to follow this up but if you contact Pike, a pw member, he may have the info. He kindly let me have a go at them when he was a Essex Ranger and handed over a dozen or so of the EA tags. I think we all agree that everyone should be allowed to take them as they have decimated the resident crays and undermine banks on all waters. Guest The Outlaw
 I know a keeper who's daughter works for the EA so I will get him to ask her to check. Tony

Cranfield
As has been said, you do have to have a licence from the EA and give a reason which has to be either, "fishery management", or "conservation". Commercial licences are also available.
