al4x
on the subject does anyone just do the insurance on its own? If not there must be a cracking niche in the market as lets face it I'd prefer to buy the insurance separately then donate to other organisations rather than having to join just for the insurance
Cranfield
Most Insurance Companies will extend your Home Contents insurance, to cover sporting items like fishing tackle and guns in carriage, or use away from the home. They also carry large Public Liability cover at a very nominal charge.

Guest The Outlaw
I have all our guns covered by Gunsure through the discounted route via the CPSA. I am sure they dont just operte through the CPSA though so do a google on them. Quite a reasonable premium for the cover they give you. webber
Outlaw I understand that you shoot clays competitively, hence the need for CPSA membership. However CPSA will do nothing to support or defend live quarry shooting. May I urge PW members to choose their shooting organisation wisely, cheaper is rarely if ever better. webber

I thought they were independant, if I am wrong then sorry to have mislead anyone. Nor did I suggest anyone join the CPSA to get insurance cover for other field sports Tony ps just googled Gunsure and got this :- http://www.guninsurance.co.uk/firearm-shotgun-insurance.cfm

webber
Outlaw Please don't get the idea that I am having a pop. Rest assured if I were, you would undoubtedly know, and in no uncertain terms. I understand that you have no real choice to shoot clays competatively. I do however wish to direct PW members looking for insurance, away from an organisation which recently tried to disassociate its self from live quarry shooting by attempting to change its name. Fortunatley the proposition was defeated by members, some of whom posted frequently about the subject on PW. webber

I get a small discount for being a CPSA member and I do a bit of rough shooting, game, decoying, fishing and I also agree with you on the name change fiasco. I wont start on that one on this thread because we will be told off for De-railing it. Tony
