OldBill
Public place, so it has to be fastened away- that's it. If it's not forbidden it's allowed.

hogey
dont see any thing wrong in that, its in a slip.i used to do it years ago. i sat on it. I know a guy whos a bit of a hells angel rides his harley to the clay shooting with his shotgun strapped to his bike in a slip. I don't think it is illegal or I am sure he would have been stopped by now Hogey

Dirty Harry
Legally you dont have to have the shotgun covered in a public place so you could ride around with it in view. I think you would attract the wrong attention though. Do the same with an air rifle and you can be arrested even if its unloaded Harry
Bagsy
You can buy a break down slip which can be extended into a full slip when shooting. They are easily slung over the back when on a bike and less conspicuous to others.
