pin Posted December 14, 2007 Report Share Posted December 14, 2007 The "up to 50" part is nonsense, you can have anything you like as long as you have good reason and suitable land. There are commercially available weapons out there which shoot sizeable bits of lead coming in at a good few hundred ft/lb Because if the nature of air rifles (using as they do pellets not bullets) there are physical restrictions like speed of the pellet and capacity of the air tank on board which limit what you can do. You don't want the pellet supersonic, it makes them unstable and therefore useless.
