Big Angus
On the rod. He is implying they are not fly caught. Assume what you like All that you have to know is the fish was caught using a legal method. Shrimp, worm and fly are all legal methods. :(

Jonnyni
Ya's are all wrong, what I was implying the type of float being used is a dead give away as to the bait used, not knockin the method at all. I love all types of Salmon fishin methods (except spinnin(sore back) all of them have their own thrill. Colin I have caught nil on the fly this year as I have only been down 3 times and conditions where wrong, I have managed 5 spingers. Well down tomorrow for a throw with the worms and it the water runs off enough the fly is going on. The Finn, Glen, Gweebarragh, Claddy, Crowley might all get a chuck. Big Angus
Nice fish. Is that an estuary or a Loch behind you? M the answer to your question. In one picture i have the estuary in the background. The second picture has Lough Melvin in the background. And as far as the other one goes it is just a background of grass. Its proved to be very handy. I'm glad you have been catching fish on lough melvin. I often have a dabble for some trout off 'rosskit'. Never managed o get a grilse or springer from melvin though.
