ernyha
Not sure if I am posting this in the correct forum but am sure our moderator will move it if necessary. Made contact with Topgunners on friday when we found out we were both from Coventry with the result that my mate and myself were invited to join him and his mate for a shoot today. Met up this morning at a field not too far down the road from one of our own shooting areas. It was a field of laid barley where they had had a very productive bag of 140 yesterday until they were stopped by the afternoon rains. I am always a bit wary of returning to a field that has shot well one day and expecting the same on the next and when we met up there was a lot of "shall we,shan't we" before 3 of us and Topgunners mate's lad decided to give it a go. His mate Alan met up with another chap and drove off to seek a pea field some miles away. As usual i picked a spot near the car and the other 3 trudged to the far end of the field where they shared the same rotor and decoy pattern. The shooting was a bit steady where i was, which is not surprising as it was the spot where they had Saturdays bag but at times i thought WW3 had broken out at their end of the field. After hearing yet another salvo of 7 shots I asked on the 2way radio "How many did you get that time?" Answer: "Bloody lucky pigeon that one" End result of a very pleasant day with new friends made via Pigeon Watch was, I got 25 and the 3 noisy shooters down the field got 78. Oh and the 2 who went to the pea field had 80. Great day.

webber
Ernyha Excellent report, this is what pigeon watch should be all about. If you ever get the chance to shoot with Aled, take a range finder! webber

Topgunners
hi Paul glad you had a good day with us .Just thought i would let you know that alan m went back yesterday with ron and they only had 12. Looks like the ww3 boys shot them all the day before. Ha Ha Ha! I have got to "clock" another farm as the farmer told me yesterday he has now got some flattened barley. Could be good for this weekend. Shame about the crappy weather forecast for this week. It is now 7.00am and just popping out to shoot a "BASIL" I hope. Tight Lines and tighter chokes.
