ROBLATCH
when the dogs start to pull i would try an about turn to the opposite direction and keep at it. i also use slip leads with the ring to the bottom of the neck so if they do pull it tends to put a little strain on their necks.thats the method i use but not all are the same, nttf maybe the man for this pm him he may be able to help. dustyfox
I have a slip lead and when he puts tension on it I use it as a whip on his back while around his neck, just enough so he know's he doing wrong. This is my method it seems to work for me.
gav
consider a halti ! goes around the muzzle and behind the head i used one on my physco spaniel for a few weeks excellent !!! you have control of the head there fore the rest of the body will follow ! just think of a horse and how thats controlled

FBF
i was told to walk with the dog and each time the lead went tight to stop and count to five, then walk on. eventually the dog will learn that by not pulling it'll get where it wants to go. that siad i terach my dogs to walk to heel so i rarely need a lead

Paul in North Lincs.
use a chocker....that usually pulls em back I used to walk mine with a 6 ft cane in the lead hand...held in the middle. When they pulled, i pivotted towards their noses.......they pull back staright away...slowly did away with the stick..adn the slip lead...now walks of the lead to heel like a gem
