Baldrick
Having lived in France myself, I would recommend the Languedoc. Some of the best scenery in France without the ridiculous prices in Provence.
Cranfield
On Radio 4 this morning they were saying that property prices in parts of Europe and they specifically mentioned eastern Europe and France, are falling quicker than they are in the UK. However, this was being offset a bit by the strong Euro against the pound. The general opinion was that now is still a good time to buy, but remember that your OA pension could be worth less over there , due to the falling pound.
