Piebob
You should send away a completed form if I recall correctly. Do you mean the form, or do you mean a letter to accompany the form?
LEFTY478
You have PM.

pin
As long as you include the gun maker, type and bore, serial No. as well as the details of who you either sold it to (name, address and SGC or FAC cert No or the RFD name, address and RFD No.) or bought it from - you are sorted. Pop your own ticket details on there and any format will do

clayman
They want to know: Type ( ie shotgun S/S, U/O, SB, S-A etc ) Make ( ie Beretta, AYA etc) Serial ( 123ABC or whatever ) Gauge ( 12g, - 410 etc) Your detail, ie Shotgun certificate no, name and address Buyers detail ie shotgun certificate no, name and address Date of transaction Type of transaction, ie sold / bought / lent / hired etc Jf the acquirer is not in your licensing area, I'd send the info to both your own Fire-arms Licensing Authority and the new owners one. Theoretically, the police have a joined up national computer system and the references should cross borders authomatically, but how far the new system has got and how well its working I don't know, so be prudent and tell very one, that way you cannot be criticised. Also, I'd photocopy the acquirers cert and keep it on file to prove your saw it and it was filled out, if you can. Jerry
