Fantastic End

My end of season good fortune started with a call from my brother who had just picked a road kill deer from the car in front of him, its now converted to joints and some beautiful venison sausages.

Next up a duck flight gave me 9 sporting birds on sat, yesterday I took a day off and laid out my Silliysock deeks and by 8:30 had shot my bag limit of 4 geese to include a left and right with the new Lincolne 10 bore U/O a spot of lunch and then out to meet youngest son pav for another flight accounting for a dozen duck and plump Greylag a piece with pav taking a blinding shot at the fast climbing Goose that would have made any veteran gun happy and most likely the shot of our season.

Last inland flight this morning a quick Goose flight before work saw another Grey drop to my gun the only shot fired.

So a hectic couple of days has yielded a Deer, 4 pinkfoot, 2 Greylags, and 15 duck, with young pav taking a fantastic Grey and 6 duck to end his season. Mrs P is now finishing the hard work of plucking and dressing the birds, bless her

It's not nearly over yet there's all the foreshore shooting til 20th and there's still plenty of time to get another 100+ pigeons for Mrs P to pluck! All you've gotta do is find some more excuses for gettin' out so why not ask the guys on here what their excuses are, you might gain a few you've not used this season :good:

I see the instruction I have been giving you on wife training is paying off. Bit of a slip the other night on her part when I was round and I noticed you had to get up and get your own beer from the fridge....... There is still more work to be done so keep me informed of training is progressing.

I liked this post as it sums up everything I would like to see in my own outhouse !!! Well done , and probably deservedly though !!!!

BTW, any chance of Mrs coming round our place and training my other half ? WIll be a tough job though as she is a veggie and so far I haven't been able to allow her in the kitchen (-never mind cooking on stove/oven). The only light at the end of the tunnel is that I have got her round to dark fish and prawns ! I hope the bacon sandwich is the next step, after that it will be breasting out/plucking pigeons !!

at least think about it |? :good::good::lol::lol::lol:???
