Zapp
I dont know for sure, but I would be amazed if they give you that for foxes, and equally amazed if they dont think you are a bit mad! Zapp

Zapp Why would it be mad? i mean its still a rifle isnt it
Zapp
It would be mad because rather than asking for a suitable fox gun of the right kind of calibre which can take a scope for accurate shot placement, you would be asking for a flippin .44 revolver. Is your surname Tackleberry by any chance? Seriously though, if I was a FEO and I got an app in for one of those for fox shooting the whole thing would go straight into the bin because you will come across as a nutter! Zapp i would say a .44 magnum would be a suitable caliber because it has the same ballistics as a .22 hornet
loopy bunny blaster
i really do doubt they will let you have a 44 magnum for foxes.. this round is sometimes cleared for close range deer if i am not mistaken?

Ferret Master
Why do you want a revolver? FM
loopy bunny blaster
why would you want a .22lr revolver unless you are target shooting? much better to have a semi auto .22lr
Zapp
The only reason you would be allowed a revolver would be for target shooting. Have you ever fired a handgun? It aint that easy, even with a long barrel. I wouldnt fire one at anything live because the risk of wounding would be too great. Would you take that risk? If you would then you shouldnt be shooting anything at live quarry. At the end of the day it is your choice if you want to apply for a long revolver, it doesnt matter because you wont get one for vermin control. You would be far, far better going for a decent .22 rifle, and you wont embarras yourself in front of the FEO when you ask for it. rob13
i guess your right and just now i found somthing better its a .22 semi auto m16 tactical with a bipod and night scope, any good?
loopy bunny blaster
more the sort of thing, but you can only have a semi-auto one, you cannot have the fully automatic one legally on ticket.
Dirty Harry
Why do you say a .44 long barell revolver is rifle? It's a revolver.

rob13
i say a long barrel revolver is a rifle because the definition of a rifle is a firearm with barrel that has a helical groove or pattern of grooves ("rifling") cut into the barrel walls and a barrel of at least 30 cm just like a long barrel revolver has so it is a rifle, "revolver" is a mechanism. Dirty Harry
So if I cut my quad barrel down to 11 inches it's a pistol! No. That would be a rifle with a short barrel. Kind of like a revolver with a long barrel. Harry
