A Sick Old Man
I would try two, Eley 40grn Expanding Subs, and the same round in winchester. See how you get on, All the best, Chris
hyflier
Without doubt, Eley hollow point subsonic. I have the CZ 452, and they perform even better than Winchester in my rifle, they feed better and fly quieter too. The Winchester hollow point round, in my opinion, is not made to quite the quality of Eley, the hole at the front is of irregular shape and they seem to scream through the air. I wonder sometimes if this alters the accuracy a fraction too. If there is a downside to the Eley ammo, its the pong of the propellant smoke. Dunkield
As above, try both, I prefer Winchesters as due to that big 'ole in the front they hit realy hard. In my CZ I can shoot 10 through a ragged hole at 50 yards, that is accurate enough for my hunting needs.

Baldrick
I've always been loyal to Eley HP subs, but I've been trying some Lapua P subs too. The Lapuas seem to group better than Eley and Winchester. You can buy Eleys anywhere though, and they feed well in any gun.

How big is the ragged hole though Stuart?
luckytrigger
Eley subs grouped the size of a pound coin at 50yds through my old cz sillouette (5 shot group) although they are pants through my ruger 1022
Dunkield
How big is the ragged hole though Stuart? About 2 foot 6" I would say about 20p sized Martin, maybe a bit bigger not bullet on bullet by any means, but accurate enough for hunting IMHO.
