stokie
I went out to the farm yesterday to have a chat with the farmer . As we stood in the yard talking. Lots of rooks and crows were settling on the back field near to a pile of partially covered hay bales . I asked if it was ok to make a hide out of the bales and was given the ok. I moved the bales around so that i was covered on all four sides and more importantly protected from the wind as it was blowing hard. I shot 2 then decided to head home and come back this morning. I arrived back at the farm at about 8 . Put out 5 plastic decoys and used the 2 shot birds on the rotory. Settled into the hide and was just making a brew when the first pair flapped over head. But not for long as they were soon added to the pattern on dead bird cradles as the grass was a little to long to just place them out. Had a steady trickle of newcomers until about 11.30 when it went completely still . Packed up at 12.30 with a total of 42 crows and rooks
