dcliff
Does anyone leave a calling card with a farmer after a spec visit? I'm going to knock one up now and get it printed. At least if the land owner says 'no' it's something to leave in his hand, and gives you a decent parting shot... 'if anything crops up...' or 'if you know anyone else, here's my card' etc. Any thoughts?
ferretman
GOOD IDEA MATE I MIGHT DO THAT
henry d
Try asking if you can leave some at local feed merchants, equine suppliers etc. as they sometimes have a sales notice board etc. and horses and rabbits are a no-no. Remember to get them laminated as if farmer Giles wants to write something down, he won`t be able to if your card is laminated
sandersj89
Have a look at Vista Print http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/vp/pbc_fbc_car...+9%3A25%3A16+AM You can get 250 free business cards, just have to pay for the delivery. A couple of the templates are idea for shooters. Jerry

V8landy
Hi I have made these up myself, cut out and laminated they are the same size as a normal bussiness card. Do they look OK? should I add or remove any info? Thanks PS My name is not Joe Blogs, but if is yours you can use it! buckfast d
V8 they are looking very good indeed, if anything i would make the "totally free" bit stand out more after all you know what most farmers are like don't be afraid to hand cards in to your local golf courses as well
V8landy
Thanks. Yes the word FREE needs to be about 10 ft tall, but most farmers despite claiming many health problems (eye sight and hearing) are very quick to pick up on the word FREE. But I will move it up and highlight it more. Edited September 1, 2008 by V8landy
Spaniel
How did you make these V8, as i have had problems with inserting pics, so the ones i have done is just text at present Cheers
V8landy
Hi I used Microsoft power Point. First get you nice background pic (if you want). Set the size to be 8cm x 4.5cm. This then alows you 0.5cm extra that the lamination can stick toether with. Then you just drag and drop and insert the text you want. Masson
I see a lot of the ideas here are specifically shooting cards, but I have my own company and so I always have cards on with my contact details - would it be better to: A- Leave a business card B- Leave nothing C-Spend a bit of cash and get some shooting cards printed, you tight fisted get
V8landy
Depends what your bussiness cards are? But they will forget what you are trying to offer. At lest with a card that has the likes of a shotgun /shooter on a few pigeons/ crows and some crops on they might remember what you are offering. How about option D, make your own cards? Masson
Option D would be the cheapest, but I wonder about how cheap it might end up looking. To be honest, the Vista Print ones aren't much better, but are good on cost. I'm a photographer, so my cards most likely wouldn't be suitable. I think when it comes to it, I'll get some made.
