beatingisbest
I have heard of them, never used one though. I did think they were spanish but you are probably right about them being italian.

Not sure about it being Italian you could be right, there's also a make called Sabel, maybe the company changed its name???

MK38
Used to have a Sable boxlock... bought it seondhand and it proved to be very reliable gun.... plain but good. Also had a Silver Sable side lock ( the one in my signature ) this was my favourite gun for Pigeons.... cost a bit more but worth it. To add a bit of confusion there is also a gun sold as SABEL , they do both boxlocks and sidelocks as well and range from a few hundred to a couple of thousand..... Gunmark used to market the Gorosable... don't know if they are the same gun or not... whatever, they are the good gun. Gordon R
Sabel and Black Sabel are not Gorasabel. Spanish manufacturer. Decent stuff, but not top flight.

tiercel
Deeks, I bought one of these exact guns when they first came on the scene, you could only buy them mail order. They were averised in all the shooting magazines at the time. Trying to remember how long ago it was, I think it was around about 1980 ish. Mine was a 28" 1/4 and 1/2 sidelock ejector, cant remember properly but think it was around £150 new. Unfortunately I could not shoot with it, so I sold it to a gun shop within 6 months and lost a lot of money on the deal. That was the last time I ever bought a gun Mail order. If I remember correctly the workmanship on the gun was a little better than the avarage Spanish gun of the time. TC EDITED, I have just remembered that the full title of the gun was Gorosable Deluxe Sidelock Ejector. They done a lot of differerant styles of gun from the simple boxlock non ejector throught to the one you have.

deeksofdoom
TC, This is a Gorosabel Silver De Luxe, it was a bit more than 150 squid it's a a 27" 1/4 and 1/2 sidelock ejector. Iwas looking up the Tinternet there and they seem to be Italian and Spanish codes for these guns http://www.doj.state.wi.us/dles/cibmanuals...unmakecodes.htm Here's something else I found as well, http://www.uplandjournal.com/cgi-bin/ikonb...Print;f=1;t=
