Took Sussex Lad up to my new spot for some rabbit shooting this evening, met up at 5pm and on site 10 minutes later with SL carrying his Anshutz .22 and me with my HMR and my Air Arms 410 .22 for any shots that did not suit a fire arm.

Lovely warm early evening with a nice breeze, but not too strong.

Settled down for a bit of sniping and we soon had a few in the bag:

Here is SL taking a nice shot at about 45m, you can just see the rabbit fall over as he takes the shot:

Me laughing at the end was due to seeing the 40+ rabbits behind all leg it to the hedge, shame you cant see it in the picture!

He did some lovely quick shooting, best example was a group of 3 rabbits coming out of a burrow in the field, not hedge, all three head shot one after the other, very nice.

The place is riddled with rabbits, not sure if you can see in this shot but there must have been in excess of 100 rabbits in the picture, shame that is the next door farm but I know who owns it……

Another of SL stalking:

Final bag was in the 20’s for a couple hours walk, great way to end the bank holiday!

Thanks for popping along SL, now you can see the problem we have to clear up!

Cracking write up Jerry,

Myself and Magman have been out long range bunny bashing with the 223's this evening - Furthest shot was 331yrds (by me  ) with Rob also doing some very fine shots, his last 2 rabbits were 6ft apart, shot one after ther other at 228yrds sat in the seat of my truck resting his rifle on a window bag.

Will do a full write up tomorrow with pics too.

To be honest there was no need to stalk any of them
